Natural Homemade Ways to Conceive a Baby Boy
By Sandy Dean

If you’ve found this article, I have to assume that you want a baby boy, but luckily you realize that you don’t have to go to an expensive gender selection clinic to achieve that goal. You probably already realize that there are natural ways that you can tip the scales in your favor for conceiving a son. This article will discuss things you can do at home to greatly increase your odds of having a blue nursery.

Understanding The Characteristics Of Y Sperm: Before I get continue, I want to briefly touch upon characteristics of boy (or Y ) sperm. When a couple tries to conceive, a man’s sperm carries X (girl) and Y (boy) chromosomes. The Y (boy) sperm are the fastest of the two but it is not very strong or long lasting. It can not survive in a highly acidic or harsh vaginal environment. Therefore, your attempts to conceive a boy should take advantage of the Y sperm’s quickness and try to compensate for it’s weakness.

The First Thing You Can Do At Home To Ready Yourself For Conceiving A Son: I believe the first thing that you should do when you want to conceive a boy is know your vaginal PH and acidity. Because if you don’t, all of the other methods you use will be thwarted because your vaginal acidity will contribute to the Y (boy) sperm dying off before they can reach the egg. You can very easily test your acidity with PH testing strips. Once you know your number, you’ll know how far you are from what is commonly called “the boy zone’ which is the vaginal PH needed to be friendly to those sperm that will produce a son.

Changing An Acidic Vaginal PH At Home Through Foods And Specialty Douches: Many women will need to make at least some adjustments to obtain a more alkaline PH. Some women are naturally very acidic and will have to work a bit harder, but that’s ok. With diligence, nothing is impossible. Conventional wisdom indicates that you need to consume foods high in sodium and potassium if you want a boy and avoid foods that are high in calcium or magnesium. You’ll need to be very diligent about this, but altering foods can bring an acidic PH down. I believe though that for optimal and fast results, it’s best to combine douching and food alteration. Gender selection clinics sell specialty douches for this purpose, but there are recipes that allow you to make these at home.

Intercourse Positions And Ovulation Timing To Increase The Chances Of Having A Boy: Changing your vaginal PH is an important part of the equation, but it is only one part. To get a boy, you should also conceive as close to your ovulation day as possible, (preferably the day of or the day after.) Anytime before this will give the boy sperm too much time to die off before the egg arrives and will favor having a girl.

You should also use deep penetration with intercourse so that you are depositing the sperm as close to the cervix as you possibly can. This allows the boy sperm a quick, safer trip on the way to the egg, with less exposure to the vaginal environment.

Conceive A Boy is a website I set up to make the at home process of having a son a bit easier. I’ve included tips, hints, and resources (including sources for food lists and the homemade gender clinic douche recipes mentioned in this article) to help couples who wish to conceive a son using natural and inexpensive methods. Baby Boys More Likely to be Stillborn

Published by Baby Boys under Having a Boy

Australian researchers are at a loss to explain findings that boy babies are almost 50 per cent more likely to be stillborn than girls

Australian researchers have found that boy babies are almost 50 per cent more likely to be stillborn than girls, but they are at a loss to explain why.

A national analysis of more than 16,000 births has revealed male foetuses have a significantly higher risk of being stillborn, as do Aboriginal babies and those with mothers with type one diabetes.

This information adds to data showing boys are also more vulnerable to complications and death if born prematurely, but researchers are unsure why these vulnerabilities exist.

“It’s a very interesting finding, and we can only assume there is something sex-related at play here,” said lead researcher Patricia Engel, a midwife at Hunter New England Health in NSW.

Stillbirths are one of the greatest mysteries in the medical world. Babies are 10 times more likely to be stillborn than to die from cot death, but neonatal specialists are unable to explain 40 per cent of cases.

Experts have been calling for more autopsies on stillborn infants and more basic scientific research into the causes of the phenomenon to bring down Australia’s static stillbirth rates.

Ms Engel and a team from the Hunter Medical Research Institute analysed 16,445 one-baby births and found one per cent were stillborn.

“Males had a 48 per cent increased risk for stillbirth after adjusting for birth weight, gestation and maternal diabetes,” the authors wrote in the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Male stillbirths were also more likely to occur later, at around 30 weeks, compared with 25 weeks for girls.

Ms Engel said previous studies had shown that Aboriginal babies had a higher risk due to exposure to high-risk behaviour by mothers, like smoking and poor nutrition.

It was also well documented that foetal death was eight times more common among diabetic women, and significantly more likely in women who had had a previous stillbirth.

“The significance is that we now know that if a woman has a risk factor and her baby is also a boy, the pregnancy could be considered as very high risk,” she said.

“These situations require intense monitoring and special interventions to get the best outcome.”

Conceive a Boy With These Tips

Published by Baby Boys under Having a Boy

If you’re trying to get pregnant with a baby boy, you probably already know or suspect that there are natural methods and things that you can do at home to greatly increase your odds of having a boy. This article will discuss all natural, inexpensive (often free), non invasive things that you can do to increase your chances of having a boy.

Timing Conception And Ovulation To Conceive A Boy Requires Exact Precision: First, I should explain the different characteristics between sperm chromosomes that will produce a boy and those that will produce a girl. Boy sperm are very fast, but are weaker than girl sperm. They begin to die off after only a few days whereas girl sperm can last for up to three to four days. If you try to conceive too early if you want a boy, all of the male sperm will die off before the egg is ready to be fertilized.

For a boy, you should conceive on the day of or the day after ovulation. (If you wanted a girl, you would have intercourse three days before ovulation.) Any earlier than this will be too early because the boy sperm will be gone before the egg is ready.

Obviously, then, it’s vital that you know exactly when your ovulation happens. There are many ways to predict this, including basal temperature, cervical mucus monitoring, etc. Some of these leave a lot of room for error though and you need to be very precise here. I recommend saliva ovulation predictors since there are so accurate, reusable, and inexpensive.

Sexual Positions To Conceive A Boy Baby: The boy sperm are fast, but they are also weak. So, you want them to spend as little time as possible in a hostile vaginal environment that could cause them to weaken, deteriorate, or die off. One way that you can give them a shorter trip is by using intercourse positions that place the sperm as close to the cervix and egg as possible – i.e. deep penetration.

Lowering A High PH / Turning A Hostile Environment Into An Alkaline One: A high vaginal PH / high acidity favors having a baby girl because the boy sperm can not withstand this hostile environment.

You can check your vaginal acidity with PH testing strips (you can get these online or at health food stores), but most women who are trying to have a boy will need to lower it. There are two ways to lower your PH. The first is through douching with specific formulas based on your reading. This is inexpensive and you can do this right before you conceive. The other is by consuming an alkaline diet and by avoiding acidic foods. I believe a combination of both methods yields the fastest and most dramatic results, but you can get there by just using the diet if you are opposed to douching. It may take a bit longer, and you’ll have to be diligent, but you can always monitor with the strips to see how you are doing and how far you need to go.

There are douche recipes and food lists available that can make this process easier and inexpensive. I’ve put together a website that takes a lot of the guess work out of conceiving a boy. You’ll find resources for the food lists, specialty douche recipes, saliva ovulation predictors, and PH testing strips discussed in this article.
